Prof. Bell gave a talk to the Evening Lions Club in Marshalltown, Iowa on February 19, 2020.
Prof. Bell gave a talk, “Digitizing Our 3D World,” on November 12 at the Science Center of Iowa (SCI) in Des Moines, IA as part of their Café Scientifique series. The event was free and open to the public, taking place in SCI’s Star Theater planetarium.
Students in the University of Iowa College of Engineering, the Iowa 3D Club, and Prof. Tyler Bell’s Holo Reality Lab have partnered with the Science Center of Iowa (SCI) in Des Moines, Iowa to collaborate on an outreach project: a Large-Scale Augmented Reality (AR) Sandbox.
Prof. Bell had a blast virtually talking to several classes of 3rd grade students at Franklin Elementary in Council Bluffs, Iowa who were learning about inventing and problem solving!
Prof. Bell gave the ECE Graduate Seminar talk at the University of Iowa on December 6, 2018 at 3:30pm CDT in 2217 SC (Seamans Center). More info. provided in the post.
Prof. Bell attended the 2018 Purdue University Big Ten+ Graduate School Exposition as a representative of ECE and the College of Engineering at the University of Iowa.
Prof. Bell gave an invited colloquium talk to the Department of Computer Science at the University of Iowa on September 21, 2018 at 4:00pm CDT in 40 SH (Schaeffer Hall). More info. is provided on the post page.
